The hotel is situated in a stunning location with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and Positano in the distance. The rooms are of a good size and equipped with private balconies that receive ample sunlight throughout the day. The hosts are friendly and helpful, offering assistance with restaurant recommendations, transportation, and luggage service.
The quality of the food was poor, lacking the fresh produce expected of highly-rated accommodations.

The friendly staff.the views are amazing.we were given the junior suite, which was lovely with a small grassed area to sunbathe ,and a small kitchenette ,which was useful to do snacks and to keep drinks in the fridge. The staff recommended nearby restaurants and the local wine bar where we chatted to other holiday makers and the locals, who we practiced our broken italian on.there were approx 200 steps to the restaurants and a further 300 to the rocky beach.I Am 53 and am quite fit and managed it although I was gasping at the end.we had a hire car so drove round the bay to another beach the next day which was easier to access. We would definately stay there again, and it would be perfect if it had a small swimming pool.

We had an unforgettable stay at a charming coastal property. The breathtaking views, serene pool, and delightful garden made for a truly relaxing vacation. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and even provided detailed instructions for finding the property. The local bus service was convenient for exploring the town, and the friendly atmosphere made us feel right at home. Though there were a few stairs to climb, the effort was well worth it for the incredible experience. we highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway.

The service was amazing. When there was a busstrike on our last day the manager of the villa personally gave us a lift, so we wouldnt miss the plane. Everyone was very forthcoming, the villa offers a magnificient view, is wonderfully quiet and the gardens filled with the scent of fresh lavender. Breakfast was absolutely lovely, with a wide selection of fresh delicacies. We had a whirlpool in our suite, which was great and a little kitchen to test our own italian cooking skills. All in all a really wonderful place. It would be cool if there was free wifi and a lift up to the hotel was included (you know, because of the steps) but really these are small things considering how overall splendid the service was. We had a wonderful time at villa Il Frontaio. Thank you!

The owners/management were incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast had a great variety and the view of the water was amazing. The rooms were cleaned daily and the location was perfect with easy access to everything.
Felt like being home, no reason to complain.

This is a summer stay hotel not for a stay in march.Mutch too cold and no heating in the breakfast area.No hot water for a shower because the sun pannels did not work, there wasn't enough sun.We did get free parking and two bottles of wine.

The view. We had our own private terrace overlooking the Mediterannean and with a view on Positano to the west. The fireworks display from our terrace over New Years was very memorable -- each town along the Amalfi Coast setting off their own fireworks in friendly competition. The citizens of Praiano were also extremely hospitable/friendly.
It took a little while to get the temperature optimal within our large room (it was cold), but eventually got there. Many prior to us have complained about the 200 steps up to the Villa. My wife and I are quite active, so didn't really see this as an issue. It made it all the more rewarding to return home at the end of the day!

I always choose this place for my stay. It has everything I need - Wi-Fi, kitchen appliances, comfortable rooms. The staff is helpful. I still remember the local taxi number they gave me on my first stay. Can't wait to come back for holiday.

The staff and ambiance of the hotel were superb! Very helpful and friendly staff and some of the best capucinos we've ever had. We even enjoyed the steps involved getting to and from the hotel. (Not for the weak-of-heart, 200m the 40 steps down OR 220 steps from the village up-- to get to the beach from the village it was another 400 or so steps, lost count after a while, but quite the scenery and quite enjoyable). The view was quite good, although a bit overstated on the web-site.
Mosquitos could be a problem, in the area although at the hotel they were quite kind as to provide repellants for the room so we had no problem! Our bathroom had a bit of a mold problem.

This villa is a magical place. We stayed in the Molazza Suite, which had a huge historic mill and a jaw-dropping balcony overlooking the Amalfi coast. The unique bathroom with its own little room for the shower and multiple wall jets was a highlight. The front desk staff, especially Obbi, were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The homemade orange marmalade made from their garden was a must-try. a truly lovely experience.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Staff very helpful. A small hotel/guest house which was perfect for our needs. The room (a suite) was very large and light with wonderful balcony. The view was excellent.
Not really. However, do note that as is usual with many/most hotels on Amalfi coast, it involved walking up and down steps. The hotel website makes this very clear - so do consider this if intending to stay.

The staff were great - very friendly and very helpful in terms of what to do and where to eat while in Praiano. The rooms were nicely appointed and comfortable and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Praiano was a good location along the coast with facilities in the town and easy bus access to Amalfi and Positano.
We had a small issue with the stairs as our son had damaged his knee in sports before we got there.

Amazing breakfast with a view, lovely pool, and charming architecture.
Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, but who needs it when you have such beautiful surroundings?
